Steven answered 10 years ago. Christopher answered 10 years ago. You can purchase a security bypass module. Its a completely separate module. It can be bypassed. Heck search " focus security bypass" on google. Don't post if you dont know what your talking about I just scrapped,a explorer, just because of this, very same problem. PAPA is right Christopher answered 8 years ago.
If you have do not have the chipped key at all, have a new key programmed by the dealer. You can now use a non- chipped key. I have done this on multiple Fords, including the explorer, focus, taurus, windstar It is located next to the keyring hole, on the longer side. Some keys have a small square on top that can be removed difficult and the pill will fall out.
Tape or glue the pill near the keyhole. You should have just gone to the dealership for a new key Jake answered 2 years ago. I took my chip out of my key and tryed to start. My car it dent start so i put it back in and now it wont start at all ford focus. Patty answered 2 years ago.
I need help, I have a ford focus, the alarm don't worth but it's draining my battery what can I do to disable it? GuruVY7KR answered 2 years ago.
Find the security computer in the trunk usually on a focus cut the brown wire with yellow stripe and then cut the purple wire with red stripe wire in a remote switch for the starter the transponder send a signal to the alternator to make the engine crank lastly unplug the ring that goes around the key switch it has a module with it unplug both.
Crank the starter the car will start I don't this on my 04 focus drive it daily and don't even use a key. If you don't mind, would you please tell me where exactly these wires are? I have 03 focus zx3 though. I'm not sure if it'll make any difference.I will try to make this as detailed as I can. I turn on my lights and I loose my entire dashboard. Odometer, speedometer, gas gauge, everything, the radio is on but the sound is dead and when I try to turn it off it will not turn off.
The car jerks sputters races for a minute and dies. I get toed to a Ford dealership, they jump start my car and run tests they find nothing wrong. They said the on board computer recorded no problems. I get back in my car and half way home the battery light comes on. With a little experimenting I find that as I accelerate the battery light is out but shortly after I take my foot off the gas the light comes on.
The next day I go out to take a look at the car. It starts without a problem and idles with no light. I check the battery and the alternator both check ok. I take it out for a drive, and it runs fine until I get it home. When I come to a stop to back into the gauge the engine begins to run a little erratic. I turn off my lights, I had been running with everything on, and again the radio stops putting out sound although the display is on, and pushing the off buttons does not turn the radio off.
I back into my drive way and turn my lights back on the car dies. This time the dash board stays operational and when the lights came on the sound on the radio came back.
But the car will not start and acts as if the battery is dead. Does anyone no what is wrong with the car? How do you fix it? Some additional info that might be important: I had to have the ignition switch replaced about a year ago. My left dashboard turning light does not work. There is occasionally a smell like burning insulation when making a left turn.
I have had to replace the right rear turning signal twice in the last six months. My Cyclopes light does not work even with new bulbs. My plate lights do not work and are corroded.Ford vehicles use electric motors to turn the window regulator in models equipped with power windows. These motors can wear out, the fuses can blow, or other electrical problems could occur that can prevent the window from moving properly. Troubleshooting most Ford electric windows will take the average weekend mechanic about an hour.
Check the fuses for burned out filaments by pulling the appropriate fuse and viewing it. Most Fords will have transparent fuses, and the filament can be checked with a bright light or in sunlight.
Many Fords come with a fuse puller located in the interior fuse block cover. This small puller is a simple pair of clips that grab the edges of a blade-style fuse.
There may be a secondary fuse block under the hood on the driver's side wheel well. It has larger blade fuses for protecting the computer and subsystems from damage. Replace any blown fuses and check the window's operation. Test the window operation in relation to the other windows in the vehicle.
Ford Focus (1999-2007) fuses and relays
If only one window is inoperable but the others work, the problem could be a switch or a failing or bad electric motor. Switch replacement is fairly easy in most Fords as they simply pop out of the door panel openings with slight pressure from a screwdriver. Unplug the switch assembly, replace it with a new unit and press it back into the door panel. Test the window for operation.
Check the window glass for excessive play or signs of a "slipped track. Repair this by removing the door panel turn the armrest bolts and door handle screws counterclockwise, then disengage the pop rivets and removing the motor by unplugging it along with the mount bolts. Replace the entire window regulator if the hinges and internals cannot be repaired.
Replace the motor by pressing it into the window regulator gears, then securing the mount bolts and reconnecting it to the harness. Replace the door panel and switches, then test the window.Downloads Ford Focus Headlight Fuse headlight fuse for ford focus ford focus headlight fuse ford focus headlight fuse location ford focus headlight fuse ford focus headlight dust cover etc.
